A small but ambitious professional theatre company with a growing reputation, based in Kent. We began with Ibsen's Peer Gynt in 2010. We stayed a while with Ionesco's The Chairs and The Lesson. We have been collaborating for the past two years with Pericles Theatre Company and we won Best Family Show at the Brighton Fringe with The Tale of the Pig, based on a traditional Romanian folk tale and adapted by the company. We developed our own production of Beatrix Potter's The Tailor of Gloucester, and of The Ugly Duckling (just finished touring), and we have begun working on our own version of the traditional tale of Snow White. In 2017 we finished the first run of our sell-out production, the UK Premiere of Matei Visniec's great one-act, one hour, play, What Shall We Do With the Cello? - and the tour is now taking its first steps, Nick Allen (the Man with the Cello) has been joined by Nicholas Bendall, Lucy Ramsden and Mike Sengelow for performances in Brasov in Transylvania; with a European tour starting summer / autumn 2018, first at Byline Festival and then for 3 nights only at the Bunker Theatre in London Bridge.
